In 79 games last season, Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists on 45.9% shooting for the Timberwolves - all career-bests.
At just 21 years old, he was selected to his first All-Star Game this year.
This is the second high-profile contract extension this summer for Minnesota. Previously, Naz Reid agreed on a three-year deal to stay on the team.
