The decision was made because of two reasons. First, Partizan did not participate in last season's tournament. Second, the organization has outstanding debts to the Serbian Basketball Association (KSS) and the Regional Basketball Association (RKS).
However, Telegraf reports that Partizan intend to appeal the decision to the KSS Board of Directors after setting the debts.
This past season, Partizan failed to register their players for licensing on time, resulting in them being barred from participating in the fight for the championship title in Serbia.
Most recently, a serious match-fixing problem was uncovered in KLS, involving multiple players, games, and teams. One of the culprits, who remained unnamed, has told to Kurir that the players did it because of small wages in the league.
