Olimpia Milano announced that Milan Tomic will complete the team's coaching staff under head coach Ettore Messina for next season.

Tomic, 49, had a great playing career behind him. Coming from Radnicki, he played from 1991 to 2004 in Olympiacos Piraeus winning the 1997 EuroLeague, five Greek titles and three times the Greek Cup. In 2008, he became part of the Reds' coaching staff and remained there until 2018, winning the EuroLeague twice (2012, 2013), once with Dusan Ivkovic and another with Giorgios Bartzokas as head coach.

In 2014, he was briefly head coach of the team, before being succeeded by Giannis Sfairopoulos. In 2018 , having completed a decade on Olympiacos' bench, he returned to Serbia as head coach of Crvena Zvezda, winning the Adriatic League and the Serbian championship in 2019, as well as the Super Cup in 2018.

After leaving Red Star, he was head coach at Peristeri Athens in the second part of the 2021-22 season and before another Olympiacos legend, Vassilis Spanoulis, took over.

"I am happy and excited to join the family of such a prestigious club as Olimpia Milano," Tomic stated.

"Working for one of the best coaches in Europe, with first-rate staff, represents a great opportunity and an honor for me. Starting today I will put all of myself at the disposal of the team to help it achieve the goals we want to achieve."
