The Israeli powerhouse have signed the American power forward to a two-year deal that is set to keep him in Tel Aviv until 2025.

James Webb III arrived at Valencia Basket last summer from UCAM Murcia. Since he joined the Spanish entity, he has played a total of 59 games, 27 in the Endesa League and 32 in the EuroLeague. The 29-year-old forward averaged 8 points along with 4.1 rebounds this season in the EuroLeague on 60.9% 2-point shooting and 38.4% 3-point shooting.

His numbers in the ACB were even better, as Webb recorded 9.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 26 games.

James Webb transferred to South Carolina in high school, started playing at North Idaho College and went on to star in media at Boise State University. He joined Philadelphia from the NBA in the preseason in the summer of 2016 and moved on to play for the Delaware Development League team. Later he made 10 appearances in the Brooklyn Nets uniform and also played in the Long Island uniform of the G-League.

In the summer of 2018, Webb signed with Telekom Baskets Bonn from the German league and from there he continued to star in the Iowa Wolves uniform from the development league. In September 2020, he joined Larisa in the Greek League and provided 13.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 48.5% from three.

"James is a player who can play in two positions and that can help us a lot," Maccabi coach Oded Kattash commented on the signing.

"He is an active player with good shooting. He has good character which is something that is important to us and Euroleague experience. We think he can definitely upgrade us and adapt to our method of play."

"Maccabi is a top club with a great history of victories," said Webb III to the club's official website. "The fans are exciting and full of passion, the atmosphere is electrifying and I am super excited to come and add some more energy. Let's go Maccabi!".
