The Summer League in Las Vegas will begin on July 7 and the NBA announced that the first-day tickets of activity at the Thomas & Mack Center are sold out due to the great interest of the fans to watch Victor Wembanyama’s debut.

The Frenchman was recruited by the San Antonio Spurs with the first pick in the NBA Draft due to his great potential as well as his physical qualities.

Hence, his debut in the SL was postponed after not playing in the California Classic in Sacramento. But this time, fans will have the chance to get a glimpse of him at the Thomas & Mack Center, which has a capacity of nearly 19,000, per NBA.

Although the activity of the Summer League will begin with a duel between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Minnesota Timberwolves, the most exciting matchup will take place at 9:00 p.m. ET (3 am CET), when the Spurs and Hornets meet.

The Hornets will also be an exciting roster in the Summer League as they drafted small forward Brandon Miller with the second overall pick. Two days later, on July 9, the Spurs will square off against the Portland Trail Blazers, who used the third pick in the draft to select highly-touted guard Scoot Henderson of the G League Ignite. This game could potentially provide us with the first matchup between Wembanyama and Henderson since an exhibition game in Las Vegas last fall.

It remains to be seen how much Wembanyama will actually play in Vegas, as he's fresh off of his season with Metropolitans 92 in France, and the Spurs would obviously like him to be relatively fresh when the start of the season rolls around. Wembanyama has already decided to skip the FIBA World Cup in order to prepare for his first season in the NBA.
