According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the 26-year-old is finalizing a four-year $120 million deal with the franchise. The contract also includes a player option, Charania notes.
Before agreeing to the new deal, Murray had one year left in his contract and was scheduled to earn $17,714,000 next season.
Murray got traded to the Hawks in 2022 after a stellar season with the San Antonio Spurs when he got named into his first All-Star team and led the league in steals.
This past season, he averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.5 steals in 74 games for Atlanta.
