Steph Curry hints Warriors need to make changes before NBA trade deadline
Golden State Warriors superstarpoint guard Stephen Curry seems fed up with the team'sstruggles.
The Warriors are currently 17-20, which is the fourth-worstrecord in the Western Conference. They are two games back from theeighth seed and 1.5 games back from the Play-InTournament.
After Golden State's 141-105loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, the two-time MVP was asked aboutthe looming NBA trade deadline and whether the team has a window toshow management that they should keep the team together rather thanmake some changes. Curry had a rather interestingresponse.
“We have a standard that’s pretty evident thatif things stay the same, that’s the definition of insanity, right?Keep doing the same thing, expecting a different result…” Currysaid.

— BasketballNews.com (@basketbllnews) January 11, 2024The 35-year-old is known for hiscalm demeanor and happy-go-lucky attitude on and off the court, butit sounds like he's advocating for the Dubs’ front office to maketrades before the Feb. 8 trade deadline.
It's very rare (if not unheardof) for Curry to make comments like this, but it's understandableconsidering the Warriors’ recent woes.
Ownership may also want somemoves, as the Warriors have by far the highest payroll in the NBA($211,820,254). It's one thing to pay a huge luxury-tax bill whenthe team is contending and trying to extend their dynastic run, butit's another when the squad is outside of the playoffpicture.
The 36-point loss to thePelicans was the Dubs' biggest home loss since Curry was drafted 15years ago.
