According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Indiana Pacers have emerged as a serious candidate to trade for Siakam. There are other teams that are interested and could make the trade happen but their identities haven't been revealed yet, Stein notes.
Siakam is entering the last year of his contract with the Raptors and is set to earn $37,893,408 next season. He hasn't been spotted in the Summer League with the Raptors, a practice that's uncommon among players who've spent numerous years in the league.
Siakam averaged 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists for the Raptors last season. If he gets traded to Indiana, he would join Tyrese Haliburton as the main piece of a rebuilding roster.
