Braian Angola fails his physical and will not join Maccabi / News - Basketnews.com

At first, Angola failed the initial tests in Tel Aviv last week. The guard was then sent for additional checks this week which also provided the same result.

Braian Angola had a deal in place with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. However, the guard will not join the Israeli club.

According to Arale Weisberg from Walla Sport, the 29-year-old has failed his physical test and will not be able to sign his deal.

At first, Angola failed the initial tests in Tel Aviv last week. The guard was then sent for additional checks this week which also provided the same result.

Angola averaged 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 11.0 PIR over eight Basketball Champions League (BCL) games in 2022-23 for Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir.

Angola spent the 2021-22 season with AEK Athens, where he averaged 12.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in the Greek league.

The 1.98-meter Colombian player has also played for European clubs such asPartizan Belgrade, Ironi Nes Ziona BC, and Filou Oostende during his career overseas.
