Raznatovic wrote that Madar had agreed to stay in Partizan but the club's communication in the last days was the main reason why the Israeli guard decided to leave.

There was a team option in the current contract. Madar and his agent, Misko Raznatovic, asked to extend the current deal by doubling the salary, the club claims, which Partizan felt was uncalled for. In the end, the contract got terminated by the player's side, and Partizan announced they won't be working with Raznatovic's BeoBasket agency anymore.
A few hours later, Raznatovic released a written statement to the news agency Tanjug where he explained his view of the situation:
I had absolutely no intention of commenting on anything related to the situation around Yam Madar, even though I am the target of rude attacks, which is in the job description in which I have been for 28 years. However, bearing in mind the untrue claims from the last announcement of KK Partizan, I am forced to react primarily as an admirer of all basketball fans who are surely interested in what really happened.
The facts are as follows: I did not participate in the drafting of the contract between Madar and Partizan, nor in the written communication, nor do I have knowledge of whether the emails ended up in the spam folder. When the player was informed from America that he was free, my job was to negotiate a new contract.
Without a doubt, it was a logical choice to continue with Partizan, bearing in mind a bigger role in the ABA final. I directed him to talk to Zeljko Obradovic, which Yam did. He came from Israel, had an interview, and decided to stay.
Madar accepted to cancel the termination [of the current contract] and remain under the old contract, however, the club did not want that anymore and insisted the contract be extended so that he could receive compensation either from Europe or from the NBA after the season. Quite legitimate.
After several days of persuasion, the player accepted the extension and I asked the club, by message on Friday, July 7 at 9:12, for an increase of USD 75,000 in the first year. Also legit and very modest and by no means twice as much. I received a reply from the club at 9:15 a.m. that it was Yam's rudeness and that there would be no increase in principle. In the following days, there was very ugly communication, there were also mild threats and there was no going back.
The epilogue of the story is that Yam Madar signed a contract with the new club for an incomparably higher amount than what he was willing to get to stay in Partizan if there had been more cultural behavior and goodwill on the part of the club.
Partizan was offered two options: for the player to remain under the current contract without an extension or to increase the amount in the first year by 75,000 and get a contract extension. Of course, there is written evidence of this. If any of the options were accepted, there would be no need to write an announcement about sending "emails to the junk" today.
The fierce reaction to the termination of cooperation only further shows the club's awareness of the inappropriate conduct of negotiations and the actions of the man who dealt with it and the mistakes that were made. As for the termination of cooperation, of course, I regret it, bearing in mind that it is one of the biggest European clubs, but if that is the price that must be paid in order to work professionally and protect the interests of the players, I am ready to pay for it.
Madar released a statement on his Instagram account yesterday, claiming that he had no real choice but to join Fenerbahce.
"I have big emotions for the Club, but last 10 days, I saw that emotions are not mutual, and I didn't have a real choice," he wrote.
His now-former teammate Kevin Punter defended the player on Twitter. "Don’t let ya emotions say no stupid s**t about yam thanks," Punter tweeted, to which Danilo Andjusic agreed in the comments.
