Olympiacos announced their agreement with young center Giorgos Tanoulis, who will boost the squad's Greek core of players.

Olympiacos Piraeushave officially announced the signing of big manGiorgos Tanoulis, who spent the last three seasons (2020-2023) with Promitheas Patras. The agreement is valid until 2027.

The 20-year-old, 2.10 m. center averaged 3.9 points and 2.5 rebounds with Promitheas in the Greek league last year. In EuroCup, Tanoulis had 4.3 points, 0.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 12 games. He joins a front line already boasting Moustapha Fall and Nikola Milutinov.

On April 14, 2022, Tanoulis recorded a great performance in Promitheas' home game against Olympiacos, where he tallied 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Tanoulis, through his agent Nikos Spanos, had come to an agreement with Olympiacos long ago. Hence, it was up to the EuroLeague finalists to pay the player's buyout clause and sign the prospect.According to Eurohoops, said buyout amounted to 150,000 euros, which Promitheas received to release the big man.
