The Croatian Basketball Federation (HKS) has announced that veteran coach Jasmin Repesa has taken over the role of sports director in the organization.
The position was previously held by Aleksandar Petrovic but he resigned after Josip Sesar was chosen as the next head coach of the national team even though Petrovic himself proposed him as a candidate.
Repesa was the head coach of Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro last year. He's coached the Croatian national team in two different periods - from 2005 until 2009 and from 2012 until 2014. He also has a 15-year experience coaching in the modern EuroLeague.
The Croatian national team is currently in training camp, preparing for the upcoming EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers. They play will play four games in a span of three weeks. Starting from July 19th, Croatia will play two matches each against Ireland and Luxembourg in the Third Round of the qualification.
