Yogi Ferrell was followed closely by EuroLeague teams but is expected to sign with Shanghai Sharks.

Former NBA guard Yogi Ferrell is expected to continue his journey in China. According to BasketNews sources, the 30-year-old is on the verge of signing with the Shanghai Sharks.

1.83m American, who played in Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana last 1.5 years, was also followed closely by several EuroLeague teams, sources tell BasketNews.

Eric Bledsoe, Michael Beasley, Johnny O'Bryant, Melo Trimble, and Jamaal Franklin all played for the Sharks last season.

The team from Shanghai made it to the CBA quarterfinals.

During the 2022-23 EuroCup season, Ferrell averaged 18.4 points (53.3% 2P, 40.0% 3P), 2.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 21.5 PIR.

In the Adriatic League (ABA), he posted 16.2 points (56.2% 2P, 37.2% 3P), 3.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.

Ferrell's career also includes five years of NBA experience, where he played 259 games for the Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Clippers.

Throughout his NBA tenure, he maintained averages of 7.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 20 minutes of play.
