Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade held the annual Assembly where multiple important topics were discussed. One of them - the club's budget.

The Serbian club made a big splash this offseason, signing Shabazz Napier, Milos Teodosic, Rokas Giedraitis, Joel Bolomboy, Mike Tobey, Adam Hanga, Yago dos Santos, Marko Simonovic, and Dejan Davidovac.

It was revealed during the Assembly that €12,000,000 were assigned for player salaries for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The Assembly also confirmed that Nikola Mirotic and Tornike Shengelia are no longer pursued by Crvena Zvezda. With the first player close to a deal with Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, the reason why the Georgian forward will not come to Belgrade is more interesting.

It was suggested that Shengelia wants to pursue a career in politics after his basketball years. Stemming from a harsh reaction in Georgia with even the country's president reacting when he moved to play for CSKA Moscow, it was revealed that Shengelia was told his move to Serbia would hurt his chances of pursuing such a career move later.

The Assembly confirmed the rumors that Cory Higgins is on Crvena Zvezda's radar. The club is monitoring the player's health situation as the veteran shooting guard underwent surgery in May.
