Luis Scola has reportedly decided to appoint two-time Australian league winner Chase Buford to the head coaching position.

Buford will succeed Matt Brase who signed with the Philadelphia 76ers a few days ago.
The 34-year-old coach was born in San Antonio and is also the son of Spurs CEO, RC Buford. The 2008 NCAA champion as a player comes off two consecutive Australian league titles with the Sydney Kings.
Chase Buford has also coached in the G-League (two seasons at the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee's development team) before landing in Oceania. At the end of May, he left the Australian club in search of a place in the NBA, which however he was unable to find.
