According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Brown has agreed to a five-year $304 million supermax contract extension with the Celtics.
This new deal between the two sides is considered to be the richest in NBA history. The deal includes a trade kicker and there is no player option, Charania notes.
Last year, Brown averaged 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for the Celtics.
Before signing the new deal, Brown had one year left in his previous contract and was set to earn $28,508,929 in the upcoming season.
