Serbian national team's friendly games schedule announced / News - Basketnews.com

Serbia will play five games against Greece, Italy, Puerto Rico, China, and Brazil in three different countries.

The Serbian national team was arguably the last out of the 2023 FIBA World Cup medal contenders to publish the preliminary list of candidates. The Federation has now announced the list of games the squad will before the tournament as well.

Head coach Svetislav Pesic's roster will play five games in the month of August in preparation for the World Cup. First, Serbia will participate in the Acropolis Tournament in Athens where they will compete against Greece and Italy on August 8th and August 9th respectively.

The national team will then come back to Serbia to play a single game against Puerto Rico in the country's biggest indoor venue - the Stark Arena - on August 16th.

The preparation will end with two games in Shenzhen, China against China and Brazil on August 20th and August 21st respectively.

On Monday, July 24th, Pesic announced a 20-man list of candidates for the World Cup. Most notably, Nikola Jokic, Vasilije Micic, Nikola Kalinic, and Vladimir Lucic are not on the list due to various reasons.
