Howard thinks that there might be a conspiracy forming against him to publish information about the lawsuit with charges of sexual assault. The lawsuit has been dropped, the player told.

Dwight Howard got into the public spotlight for all the wrong reasons recently. He's now addressed the scandal.

A man filed a lawsuit against the veteran player for sexual assault, among multiple other charges. Howard was alleged to have performed multiple sexual acts on the person against his will.

The player has recently gone on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast where he said that the lawsuit that was filed in 2021 no longer exists.

"There was a lawsuit but they threw the case out because it never happened," he said before beginning to question the motives of the initial report about it. "Why is it coming up now? Have you seen the stuff I've been posting?"

Howard had the most issue with the report about the lawsuit being written now.

"Why at this time? You read the article, right? Two years ago, right? 2021. Why would all of a sudden now some stuff like [an] article about my character what I supposedly allegedly did with this person, and battery and assault? I just posted a video of me and my son working out that got some bad press. So it's now like 'We've got to keep with the negative train'," he detailed his view.

"I just stay positive with all this stuff. There's nothing on my page that nobody could say has any negativity on it. When I see these things, I know it's an attack on my character and where I'm at in life," Howard explained. "I feel like there's about to be an elevation process and the things from my past, the things people have said I've done - they're trying to come up and stop this."

Following the news about the lawsuit, it is logical to assume that people started wondering about Howard's sexuality. The player says it's all just to diminish him as a person.

"They're going to say stuff like that to keep this whole negative train going - 'We have to find a way to assassinate this man's character'," he said.

Howard feels like there is a conspiracy forming against him but he didn't want to expand on it.

"I feel like there could be [a conspiracy], but again - my focus is not on those people that are conspiring against me, my focus is on this podcast that I'm trying to get out," he concluded.
