Campazzo said that it was even difficult to leave for the game alone. He was thankful to Crvena Zvezda for the offer that the player received in the middle of the season and for believing in him to be the leader of the team despite difficulties.

After half a year with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, Argentinian star guard Facundo Campazzo has moved to Real Madrid. Nevertheless, he won't forget his experience in Serbia.

Campazzo is now together with the Argentinian national team that is preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games Pre-Qualifiers tournament in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.

In an interview with Ole, Campazzo reiterated the same ideas why he signed with Real Madrid but also wanted to commend his former club.

"Incredible. Being in an environment that is already a classic and is pure basketball history and being there, seeing how they live basketball, passion, and so on, is incredible," he said about the atmosphere in Crvena Zvezda's games. "They have a level of motivation on another level.

"It was very difficult to leave for the game alone, it was like it put you on another level," he continued. "I really enjoyed it because they trusted me and gave me an offer when I was waiting for the NBA during a difficult season, I was very happy. These were six very intense months. The team helped me in my adaptation a lot. The people were very kind to me and to Luca [Vildoza] as well. Seeing how they sang for Argentina or seeing the Argentine flags in a country that is far away from fans that had not had an Argentinean [on the roster], it was gratifying."
