Alex Poythress is joining EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on a one-year deal, according to the official announcement.

"I'm thrilled to be able to play for a historic club like Olimpia Milano and happy to be able to compete at the highest possible level. I feel ready to start," Poythress said.

The 29-year-old has recently been released from Maccabi Playtika Tel Avivafter playing one season with the Israeli powerhouse. Poythress initially joined Maccabi on a 1+1 deal last summer, but the option for the second season wasn't exercised.

Due to an injury, the American-Ivorian big man only played in 16 EuroLeague games. In the 2022-23 EuroLeague season, Poythress averaged 22 minutes per game, scoring 7.8 points, grabbing 3.6 rebounds, and accumulating 7.4 PIR.

Poythress averaged 10.6 points (72.4% 2P) and 5.2 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game, helping Maccabi secure the Israeli league title.
