Murray didn't give a straightforward answer but admitted that currently, he's not 100% ready.

"It's a process," Murray told Josh Lewenberg from TSN. "My body and my pace is a little different than everyone else's, so I'm just trying to keep cool and stick to my jump shot right now. I can rely on that always."

On Wednesday, Canada Basketball general manager Rowan Barrett revealed that the medical team would have to decide on Murray's availability.

"It's gonna be tough managing him, but in the end, we're going to make the right decision for him. Obviously, he wants to play, he wants to be here, we want him here," Barrett said.

Murray played for Canada once in 2015 during Pan American Games.

The Basketball World Cup will take place in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia from August 25th to September 10th and will be hosted by the three nations for the first time.

During the FIBA Basketball World Cup, Canada will play in Group H and face Latvia, Lebanon, and France.

If Canada advances to the Second Round, it will meet teams from Group G, consisting of Iran, Spain, and Ivory Coast.

In the title-winning season last campaign, Murray averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game in 65 regular season appearances for the Nuggets.
