Serbia NT is currently in Athens to participate in the Acropolis Tournament, which will be hosted by the Greek Basketball Federation between August 8 and 10. The squad coached by Svetislav Pesic will face hosts Greece on Tuesday evening (18:45 CET) and Italy one day later (same time).

After playing two closed matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland, which ended up in as many wins, Serbia will have a tight schedule in the Greek capital, since they will leave before the tourney even concludes.

Four players have been left back in Serbia, for different reasons. Alen Smailagic and Uros Trifunovic are undergoing therapy for injuries, Dusan Beslac got married in the weekend and was granted some days off, while Nikola Topic is resting after winning the gold medal in the EuroBasket Under 18 in Nis.

That leaves 14 players on Pesic's list:

Stefan Jovic Aleksa Avramovic Bogdan Bogdanovic Nemanja Nedovic Marko Guduric Vanja Marinkovic Aleksa Radanov Ognjen Dobric Dejan Davidovac Filip Petrusev Nikola Jovic Dusan Ristic Nikola Milutinov Borisa Simanic

After the Acropolis Tournament, Serbia will play Puerto Rico at home, before traveling to China for a couple of prep games against the local team (August 20) and Brazil (August 21).

The Eagles will face the team coached by their former tactician Sasha Djordjevic in the World Cup premiere in the Philippines on August 26. The fourth member of Group B is South Sudan.
