Raptors acquire Kelly Olynyk, Ochai Agbaji from Jazz
The Utah Jazz are finalizing adeal to send Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji to the Toronto Raptorsin exchange for Kira Lewis, Otto Porter Jr. and a 2024 first-roundpick, according to AdrianWojnarowski of ESPN.
Olynyk, a 6-foot-11 center/powerforward, is currently averaging 8.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4assists in 50 games. Agbaji, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard, averaged5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 51 games this season. This tradegives the Raptors shooting and additional spacing around young starScottie Barnes and recent acquisitions Immanuel Quickley and RJBarrett.
Lewis, a 6-foot-1 guard, hasrarely played this season. He was traded from New Orleans toToronto earlier in the year, and now he moves again to Utah. Lewishas only appeared in 16 total games, averaging just 2.8 points and1.1 assists.
Porter, a 6-foot-8 forward and a2022 champion with the Golden State Warriors, also has appeared injust 15 games for the Raptors and he’s averaging just 2.6 pointsand 1.9 rebounds.
The 2024 first-round pick to theJazz will be the leastfavorable of Thunder/Clippers/Rockets/Jazz in 2024, according toWojnarowski.
