Agravanis, 29, only played 1'45'' in Greece's 64-71 loss to Serbia on Tuesday night, where he scored one point. Given Kostas Antetokounmpo's injury and also Giannis Antetokounmpo's uncertain status, coach Dimitris Itoudis will have to work with a significantly short-handed frontcourt lineup that currently includes Giorgos Papagiannis, Manolis Chatzidakis, Dinos Mitoglou, and Giorgos Tsalbouris.
Agravanis is a free agent, after finishing last season with Panathinaikos Athens. He averaged 0.8 points and 2.5 rebounds over four EuroLeague games with PAO in an underwhelming season.
In the 2022 EuroBasket, Agravanis had recorded 6.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per outing, whilst shooting 50% from distance. He helped Greece reach the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by Germany.
That development leaves Greece with 15 players, with 14 of them being available for the scrimmage vs. Italy (18:45 CET). The only player left out is forward Panagiotis Kalaitzakis (coach's decision).
