"Hard is not for me, man. Hard is for the single mom with four kids. This is what I do," he toldTim Reynolds from The Associated Press. "Single mom, struggling to provide for her kids, that's hard."
In the first game against Puerto Rico on Sunday, August 6th, Portis scored 11 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in 10 minutes of play.
Team USA will play two exhibition games in Malaga, Spain - first, against Slovenia on August 12th, and then against Spain on August 13th. The squad will then travel to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to play against Greece (August 18th) and Germany (August 20th).
