NBA buyout rumors: 76ers linked to Kyle Lowry, Spencer Dinwiddie
The trade-deadline madness is officially over for thePhiladelphia 76ers, and they ended up making fewer moves thananticipated. Their total haul was Buddy Hield, Cam Payne and twosecond-round picks.
With that said, there are a few key players that the Sixerscould pursue in the buyout market. Among those players are KyleLowry and Spencer Dinwiddie.
Lowry is a Philly native and the most likely option if he wereto be bought out. He would be a slight upgrade over PatrickBeverley, who was dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks (although hewouldn't match Beverley's energy). He hasn’t officially been boughtout by the Charlotte Hornets yet, but he is expected to be.Averaging just over 8 points per game, Lowry would be used as theteam's primary backup point guard.
Dinwiddie is another option who would certainly be an upgradeover Jaden Springer in terms of scoring. Dinwiddie has been anestablished scorer for quite some time, generally scoring 15points-per-game or more each season. This has been a bit of adown year, but you can rely on him much more than someone likeSpringer. However, he's not nearly as good of a defender, whichwould hurt the 76ers.
