The Greek Basketball Federation announced that Kostas Antetokounmpo and Vassilis Toliopoulos would no longer continue with the team.

Antetokounmpo underwent a cleaning operation on his knee, and it was determined that he would not be ready in time for the World Cup.

Greece will play two friendly games against the USA (August 18th) and Germany (August 19th) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The team will compete in Group C in the World Cup with the USA, Jordan, and New Zealand. The group's matches will be played in Manila, the Philippines.
