Phoenix Suns sign free agent Thaddeus Young
The Phoenix Suns are finalizinga deal to sign free agent forward Thaddeus Young, according to ESPN’s AdrianWojnarowski.
Young gives the Suns additionalsize and depth in the frontcourt for the remainder of the seasonand the playoffs. The 35-year-old previously played for the TorontoRaptors before getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets, whosubsequently waived him. The veteran forward now moves over toPhoenix where he could be a vital piece off the bench along withnewcomers Royce O’Neale and David Roddy.
An NBA journeyman for 18 years,Young is one of four players who has averaged 12.1+ points, 5.2+rebounds, 1.3+ steals, 50.1+ FG% and 30.2+ 3PT% along with MagicJohnson and LeBron James. He has played in 1,162 regular-seasongames, averaging 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.
