The 11-year NBA veteran has acquired shares in the BC Wolves through the "Basketball Holding Company," thereby becoming one of the club's investors.
According to the official announcement, this partnership was solidified by signing an investment agreement on Thursday. With this move, Valanciunas joins a lineup of over 10 Lithuanian and international business figures who share a belief in the BC Wolves vision.
"I'm thrilled to witness the emergence of a Lithuanian club that embraces innovative approaches and unconventional strategies," Valanciunas said. BC Wolves competes in the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and extends its presence internationally through participation in the EuroCup, widely considered the second-best European club competition.
The upcoming season will see the team host its home games at the Avia Solutions Group Arena in Vilnius, boasting a seating capacity of 10,000 people.
