Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade made a splash on Thursday night by adding big man Frank Kaminsky to their roster, marking the NBA veteran's transition into a new chapter after an eight-year career across the Atlantic.

Arriving in the Serbian capital, Kaminsky becomes the fourth off-season addition for Partizan. Prior to Kaminsky, Partizan had already secured the services of former NBA guard PJ Dozier and the seasoned EuroLeague veteran Mateusz Ponitka.

Additionally, Ognjen Jaramaz has returned to the EuroLeague powerhouse, while key players like Kevin Punter, Zach LeDay, James Nunnally, Aleksa Avramovic, and Balsa Koprivica have extended their contracts.

"I am excited about the opportunity that has come my way. I know I am coming to a club with a rich history and a mission to win trophies. I am very happy about the opportunity to play big games. The support of this club's fans is crazy, and I can't wait to play in front of them," Kaminsky shared in an interview on the official club website following the agreement.

Interestingly, Kaminsky has Serbian roots on his mother's side.

He grew up in Woodridge, Illinois, in a Serbian community. Until high school, Kaminsky participated in basketball tournaments organized by the Serbian National Federation as a member of the Serbian Eagles A.C.

"My family is still close to the Serbian community in Illinois and the Serbian National Federation in the United States, which organizes a big basketball tournament yearly. I used to be involved in that too," Kaminsky said.

Lastly, Kaminsky drew attention to his experience playing alongside Serbian guard Bogdan Bogdanovic during their time with the Atlanta Hawks last season. Kaminsky credited 'Bogi' as the driving force behind his decision to join Partizan.

"It was great to play with him. He is a fantastic basketball player and an even better friend," Kaminsky underlined. "When the opportunity to move to Partizan arose, he was the first person I reached out to. He said a lot of nice things about the club and the city, which helped me decide to sign the contract."
