Free agent Danilo Gallinari to sign with Milwaukee Bucks

Free agent Danilo Gallinari willsign with the Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of the season,according to The Athletic’s ShamsCharania.

Gallinari, 35, reportedlyconsidered offers from the Los Angeles Clippers, ClevelandCavaliers and Chicago Bulls but ultimately settled on the Bucks.He'll join Milwaukee's frontcourt and have an opportunity toreunite with his former coach Doc Rivers, who coached Gallinari forin Los Angeles.

The 14-year veteran forwardplayed some of his best basketball under Rivers, averaging 19.8points per game with the Clippers in the 2018-19 season.

After jumping between theWashington Wizards and Detroit Pistons this season, Gallinari joinsthe Bucks' bench that features Bobby Portis and JaeCrowder.

This season, Gallinari isaveraging 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while shooting45.1% from the field, 35.5% from three-point range and 85% from thefree-throw line. His career averages are 15.2 points, 4.7 rebounds,1.9 threes and 1.9 assists on 42.8/38.2/87.6 shootingsplits.
