Partizan Belgrade was eliminated in the playoffs of last season's EuroLeague in a heated series against Real Madrid. But the ambitions for the upcoming season are even higher for the Serbian club, as Mijailovic revealed during the interview.
"We all wanted a better team for next season, in order to do that, our budget will be 20% higher than last season", the president of Partizan Belgrade confirmed. "Our sporting goals are very clear: to defend the ABA League title and reach the EuroLeague Final Four."
But before the beginning of the new season, Partizan still has some work to do on the market. The president of the Serbian powerhouse stated that the team is still looking to make two further additions before finalizing the roster.
"We're not in a hurry, even though many people would like us to make a move as soon as possible," Mijailovic added. "We already had a really good team last season, and now I expect us to be even better. We have two additions left to make, and we'll work smart and hard to make them. No one needs to worry".
The president of Partizan also specified that he intends to solve all the debt issues that the club has been dealing with over the last decade by the start of the season.
"The goal is to solve the issue with our debt before the start of the season," Mijailovic specified. "It's a problem that has plagued this club for many years, it was really a historical issue for us. I want to thank again everyone who supported our fundraising campaign. As for the organization, I expect that we'll continue to grow".
