After a four-year break, the FIBA World Cup returns, where 32 top basketball teams compete to be crowned the best in the world.

A huge variety of international basketball stars arrive in Jakarta, Okinawa, and Manila to play in eight groups in the first stage. Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, Lauri Markkanen, and Rudy Gobert are just a few names from a long list of competitors.

All three hosting countries offer unique basketball experiences for fans in the arenas and TV viewers alike. A natural question arises - where can you watch the 2023 FIBA World Cup games?

Almost all participating countries offer some local broadcasting solution. Some nations will broadcast the matches on public and free television, and others have chosen to go the other route and will show the games on paid platforms and channels.

Regardless of the country, all matches are broadcast on Courtside 1891 (with blackouts in select countries).

Australia

Australia follows a semi-private road regarding FIBA World Cup coverage. All tournament games will be shown on ESPN channels (ESPN and ESPN2) or via the ESPN App. However, the Australian national team's matches can be viewed free of charge on ESPN via Kayo Freebies on Kayo Sports.

Canada

Similarly to Australia, all FIBA World Cup streaming rights are held by one broadcaster in Canada - Sportsnet. All Sportsnet regional channels, as well as the Sportsnet NOW online platform, will broadcast select World Cup games and all of Canada's matches.

Spain

Spain is the last country on this list that follows the public-plus-private model. All Spain's games in the FIBA World Cup will be shown on the public La1 channel, while all tournament games can be streamed via Gol Mundial online.
