Kicking off the day, Walter Tavares-led Cabo Verde and Wenyen Gabriel's South Sudan made their much-anticipated debut on the World Cup stage. Cape Verde took on Georgia, while South Sudan faced off against Puerto Rico.
Both debutants, however, lost their openers - Cabo Verde had little chance, while South Sudan took Puerto Rico to overtime in spectacular fashion but ended up losing.
Later in the day, injury-plagued Greece overcame Jordan, while Luka Doncic and company easily defeated Venezuela behind Luka's 37-point effort.
Serbia registered the largest win of the tournament so far against China, a team coached by a former Serbian NT head coach, Sasha Djordjevic, whose birthday was on the day of the game.
To wrap up the day, the spotlight was on Team USA and the reigning world champions, Spain. Both squads easily defeated their opponents - New Zealand and Cote d'Ivoire respectively.
