During the media day, Kaminsky shared his thoughts on the legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic.
"I spoke with him before I signed the contract with Partizan," Kaminsky said, via Telegraf.rs. "I told him I wanted to compete. He is one of the best coaches of all time. Many people know him in the NBA. He is famous worldwide for his ability to win, so I want to come and win."
When asked about the possibility of representing the Serbian national team, Kaminsky indicated that while it might happen in the future, it isn't a current priority.
"Maybe one day. Currently, it is not necessary. We will see what will happen," he said.
Kaminsky also highly praised the dedicated Partizan fans, highlighting their passion.
"I've never been to a Partizan game, but I watched the footage and saw how tense and crazy it was," the 30-year-old said. "That's my favorite thing about sports, playing in front of a lot of people and crazy fans. So, it's going to be exciting.
"I know there is a great history of rivalry here, and I look forward to being a part of it. I just want to win. I want to compete in big games and win. I don't want to set too many expectations, but I want to win championships."
Being well aware of the significance of the eternal derby, Kaminsky expressed readiness for this intense matchup. Drawing from his experience in big NBA games and his basketball journey, he affirmed, "I'm prepared for it. I've been part of significant games in my NBA career. When you feel that your heart wants to come out of your chest, and the game hasn't even started yet, that's what makes basketball great."
Signing a contract with Partizan for one season, Kaminsky is poised to play an important role in the team's schemes in the upcoming season.
