Germany / Schedule
Germany Japan81-63 Australia Germany82-85 Germany FinlandTue07:30Wagner suffered an ankle setback at the end of the game against Japan, as Germany held a commanding 75-53 lead. After a minor collision in mid-air with a Japanese player, the 21-year-old Wagner landed awkwardly on his left ankle.
He grabbed his ankle immediately after the incident and was evidently in pain. Wagner then hobbled off the court, unable to continue.
Wagner scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists. Germany won confidently against host Japan,81-63.
The upcoming game vs. Finland doesn't have a lot of importance for Germany, as it has already clinched 1st place in Group E.
Nevertheless, the number of victories in the First Round will count in the Second, so getting as many wins as possible won't hurt.
