Germany's head coach, Gordon Herbert, gave a short update on the 22-year-old, saying that the final decision will be made on a game day.

"We'll decide in the morning when we'll look at the situation," Herbert said. "He worked out today a little, but it will be a medical decision. He didn't play 5-on-5 today."

So far, Wagner played only in the opening game against Japan, finishing the contest with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, and 13 EFF.

Wagner suffered an ankle injury at the end of the game. After a minor collision in mid-air with a Japanese player, the 21-year-old Wagner landed awkwardly on his left ankle.

He grabbed his ankle immediately after the incident and was evidently in pain. Wagner then hobbled off the court, unable to continue.

Speaking of Friday's opponents, Herbert noted Georgia's strengths.

"They are the best inside team we'll face as far as post-ups and offensive rebounds. It will be a men's game tomorrow," Herbert said.

The 64-year-old tactician was also asked about Daniel Theis' impact on the team, giving praise to his player.

"For me, Daniel Theis has been excellent since Day 1 in training camp," Herbert said. "He's being the best player no one talks about."

"He and Dennis have a very good connection. Obviously, they grew up together, played together, so they have a really good connection. Offensively, it's something you don't really teach it, they just have it," Herbert added.

Germany will face Georgia on Friday at 10:30 CET.
