The favorites controlled the game in the first half, but Brazil started slowly clawing back in the second half. Lucas Dias hit a triple to end the third quarter (45-52), sparking a run by Brazil.

Both teams continued playing neck-and-neck throughout the remainder of the quarter, but Brazil was the team that had the lead coming into the last minute.

Both teams will need to win their last game on Sunday in order to advance to the FIBA World Cup quarterfinals. As such, either Canada or the reigning world champions Spain will not advance past the Second Round.
