Two teams -- Japan and South Sudan -- achieved the right to directly qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games while the remaining squads fought for an opportunity to play in a Qualifying Tournament.
Among the winners were Gilas Pilipinas, who crushed China in their last FIBA World Cup 2023 game, secured their first tournament win, and got their ticket to the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Jordan Clarkson put on an offense clinic with 34 points, including 24 of them in the third quarter.
