However, the Bucks have retained his G-League rights, allowing Alex to join Milwaukee's affiliate team, the Wisconsin Herd, as per the same report.

This development follows a reported deal between the two parties on September 1.

This signing was primarily made to ensure that the Bucks retained Alex's G-League rights and to make him eligible for a bonus worth up to $75,000. This bonus is contingent on him spending at least 60 days with the Wisconsin Herd in the G-League.

It's worth noting that a similar situation occurred last year when the Bucks signed Alex Antetokounmpo on September 16th and waived him the following day, all for the same reason.

The youngest Antetokounmpo brother averaged 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 22 minutes of play in the G-League last season.
