Lithuania will play against Serbia, while Italy will try to give Team USA their second loss in a row. The next day, Germany will meet Latvia, and Canada will battle against Slovenia.

An eventful day marked the end of the Second Round in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. After the last eight games, the quarterfinal pairs became known.

All qualified teams will have a day of rest on Monday, September 4th. The playoffs will begin with two matches on Tuesday, September 5th, and two games on Wednesday, September 6th.

Lithuania, who shocked the world after beating Team USA, will play in the first matchup of the day. They will meet Serbia, who handily defeated Karl-Anthony Towns' Dominican Republic.

In the second game of the day, Italy, who overcame Puerto Rico, will try to give Team USA their second loss in a row.

On Wednesday, a battle between Germany and Latvia will start the day. While Germany is one of the most dominant teams in the tournament, Latvia is making an upset after upset in their first-ever FIBA World Cup appearance.

To end the quarterfinal stage, a battle of the only two All-NBA players will occur, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Canada will go against Luka Doncic and Slovenia.

LITHUANIA vs. SERBIA - Wednesday, September 5th, 10:45 CET (16:45 GMT+8) ITALY vs. USA - Wednesday, September 5th, 14:40 CET (20:40 GMT+8) GERMANY vs. LATVIA - Thursday, September 6th, 10:45 CET (16:45 GMT+8) CANADA vs. SLOVENIA - Thursday, September 6th, 14:30 CET (20:30 GMT+8)

The winners of the game between Lithuania and Serbia will play against the winner of the game between Canada and Slovenia in the semifinal, while the Germany-Latvia winner will play against the winner of Italy-USA.
