On Sunday, Team USA suffered its first defeat in the 2023 FIBA World Cup after falling against Lithuania. Even though the game's outcome made rounds on social media, not everyone is interested in the tournament, at least from the NBA players.

Jimmy Butler is currently visiting the US Open, one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments that attract the biggest stars in the sport. First, he visited the ball boy training. Now, he's a regular in the stands.

After one of the matches, a SportKlub Srbija journalist, Sasa Ozmo, tried approaching Butler for a comment about the current events in international basketball.

"I'm not making any statements here," the Miami Heat star said after first thinking the request was for a photo.

When Ozmo introduced himself, his profession, and his country of origin, wanting to get a comment about the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Butler was blunt.

"I don't care about the World Cup," the player said, and the two split ways.
