The 24-year-old small forward is bidding farewell to the Greens after spending a total of five years at OAKA, spanning two terms.
Kalaitzakis initially joined PAO back in 2016 and remained with the team until 2021. He also spent a year on loan at the Lithuanian team, Nevezis Kedainiai, during this period.
In 2022, he returned to the green side of Athens, bridging the gap between his NBA stints with the Milwaukee Bucks and Oklahoma City Thunder and his time in the G-League.
During his tenure with Panathinaikos, Kalaitzakis achieved significant success, celebrating four Greek League championships (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021) and securing the same number of Greek Cups (2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021).
Last season, he averaged 2.0 points and 1.1 rebounds over 26 EuroLeague games (9 minutes).
Georgios' brother, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, stays at PAO for the time being.
