Subsequently, instead of returning the extravagant timepiece, Terry expressed his desire to buy it from Mavachev.
The lawsuit asserts that Mavachev, who has a clientele of celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Tyga, Floyd Mayweather, and Snoop Dogg, agreed to sell the watch to Terry for $25,000, an offer Terry accepted.
On July 10, Terry sent a text to Mavachev, indicating that he would wire the money on July 13, but the payment was never made, and Terry allegedly ignored Mavachev's messages.
As a result, Terry stands accused of failing to pay the agreed-upon $25,000 for the Rolex watch and not returning it to Mavachev.
Mark Shirian, the attorney representing Mavachev, claims that they gave Terry a 30-day window to settle the debt, which he failed to do, leading to this breach of contract lawsuit.
Despite Terry's substantial earnings in excess of one hundred million dollars during his NBA career, he has allegedly not met his financial obligations in this matter.
As of now, Terry has not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
