Sixers to sign former Hornets lottery pick Kai Jones

The Philadelphia 76ers intend tosign former Charlotte Hornets lottery pick Kai Jones,according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jones, who was the No. 19overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, will return to the league afterbeing released by Charlotte in October of last year due tounprofessional behavior on social media.

The Sixers will reportedly signJones to a 10-day deal as they continue to survive the seasonwithout reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who’s been out sinceJanuary.

The 6-foot-11 Jones wouldprovide an additional body in their frontcourt, which also featuresPaul Reed and Mo Bamba.

Over 67 games played in twoseasons with the Hornets, Jones averaged 2.7 points and 2.0rebounds.
