The basketball community in the United States has been sharing their thoughts and reactions to Team USA's loss, with prominent NBA players, overseas athletes, and media personalities voicing their opinions.

For instance, Patrick Beverley took to X (formerly known as Twitter) with a seemingly sarcastic message: "Good run USA."

NBA legend Magic Johnson expressed his disappointment over the loss to Germany.

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young tweeted his daily mantra, "Another Day, Another Opportunity," right at the moment Team USA suffered their defeat at 10:35 AM EST.

Young had previously expressed his belief that he should have been part of Team USA this year but was snubbed.

American players competing in Europe, namely Wade Baldwin and Kyle Weems, also joined the conversation.

Weems criticized Team USA for their lack of defense and ball movement during the game, singling out Anthony Edwards as the only player deserving of a spot in the Olympic team next year.

Shaquille O'Neal seemed to have a last laugh in the wake of Team USA's loss. On his Instagram account, he captioned a scoreline with "Dam Gina," suggesting that he had had doubts about this squad's capabilities even before the FIBA World Cup, despite their initial high ranking.

Although the semifinal defeat is a disappointing outcome for USA Basketball, they still have an opportunity to compete for a bronze medal. Team USA is set to face Canada on Sunday.
