Brooks was more than glad to accept any defensive responsibilities for Bronze medalists Canada. His physical one-on-one defense against the likes of Luka Doncic and Evan Fournier played a huge role in important victories for The Land of Maple Leaf.

Brooks finished the campaign averaging 15.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 16.5 EFF per game.

"Really proud of Dillon. This is how it looks when they let Dillon Brooks play, and it's not only on the offensive end," Canada's head coach Jordi Fernandez said after the bronze medal game.

"He and Lu [Dort] are the best perimeter defenders in the World Cup. Offensively, he's been extremely efficient, and it's not only this game. I don't think it gets better than today's performance," Fernandez added.
