Toni Kroos expressed his pride, saying, "It's crazy! So proud!" The Real Madrid midfielder went on to praise team captain Dennis Schroder, adding, "Dennis, athlete of the year! No discussion necessary."
Indeed, Schroder delivered a performance for the ages, scoring 28 points, securing two rebounds, and dishing out two assists in the final. His outstanding play throughout the tournament earned him the MVP honors.
