According to Walter Fuochi from la Repubblica, the organization is even considering firing Scariolo.
The Italian coach was critical of the situation he was placed in. When asked about the roster, he said that the management constructed it and all questions should be directed to them.
Virtus later confirmed it and announced that Scariolo had been fired.
"The club built this team, and they gave it to me," he said. When questions about the season's goal arose, Scariolo referred to the management again.
Scariolo also revealed that Iffe Lundberg will not be on the roster anymore, a decision made by the management.
Virtus owner Massimo Zanetti was unhappy with the comments and is currently considering parting ways with the famous coach despite his contract.
Virtus will play in a friendly tournament in Germany this upcoming weekend. They will play against FC Bayern Munich on Saturday.
