Even though Damian Lillard's agent indicated in July that the star guard exclusively desired to play for the Miami Heat, the possibility of him being traded elsewhere is becoming more pronounced.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, trade discussions have intensified recently, although there's no imminent trade on the horizon.

"Talks have intensified over the past week, but still, there's no trade imminent," Wojnarowski said Friday on NBA Today.

The Heat have not been part of these recent discussions, and it appears they haven't engaged in talks with the Trail Blazers about Lillard since July, as per Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

Lillard expressed his desire for a trade from the Blazers back in July, consistently emphasizing his ambition to contend for an NBA championship.

Furthermore, Jackson and Chiang reported that if Lillard were to be traded to a team other than the Heat, he is expected to seek a trade to Miami once again.

Wojnarowski also mentioned that the Heat's involvement in trade discussions could change swiftly with just one phone call.

It appears that the Trail Blazers are eager to finalize a trade before the start of training camp, aligning with ESPN's Brian Windhorst's report that they were determined to secure a deal before camp commences.
